Migration guides

Move your club to Flok in a weekend.

Bring members, memberships and open invoices from your current tool. Every guide is written for volunteer boards — no IT experience required, and we're happy to help live.

From Excel or Google Sheets

Most common. Import members and memberships from a spreadsheet in under an hour.

Migrating from Excel or Google Sheets

  1. Prepare one row per member. Keep columns simple: first name, last name, email, birthdate, address, member since, membership type.
  2. Export as CSV or XLSX. UTF-8 encoding avoids umlaut issues. Dates in ISO format (YYYY-MM-DD) work best.
  3. Open Members → Import in Flok. Drop the file — Flok Pilot suggests a column mapping.
  4. Review the preview. Rows that look off are highlighted; fix them in the file or edit inline.
  5. Import. Flok creates member profiles, assigns memberships and links custom fields.
  6. Send a welcome email. Use the newsletter builder to announce Flok to your members.

Migrating from ClubDesk

Flok doesn't have a dedicated ClubDesk integration — this is the same generic CSV import every migration uses, with ClubDesk-specific export steps up front.

  1. Export contacts. In ClubDesk, choose Contacts → Export CSV with all columns selected.
  2. Export invoices, if you want a record of past invoices. Under Invoicing → Export. Flok doesn't have a dedicated invoice importer, so keep this as a reference file rather than expecting it to import directly.
  3. Import members into Flok. Follow steps 3–6 of the Excel guide above — the same generic CSV import and column matching, no ClubDesk-specific step.
  4. Set up payments in Flok. Add your Stripe or Payrexx account in Settings → Payments so invoices going forward are collected automatically.

Migrating from WISO MeinVerein

Flok doesn't have a dedicated WISO integration — this is the same generic CSV import every migration uses, with WISO-specific export steps up front.

  1. Export members via Datei → Export → CSV.
  2. Recreate your membership tiers in Flok. Create memberships in Settings → Memberships that mirror your existing plans.
  3. Import members into Flok. Follow steps 3–6 of the Excel guide above, mapping each member's plan during the preview step.
  4. Set up SEPA direct debit in Flok if you use it, and check with your bank whether mandate references need to be reissued when you switch providers.
  5. Archive WISO once you've reconciled one full billing cycle in Flok.

Migrating from another tool

  1. Export whatever CSV / XLSX your tool offers. If it exports to PDF only, get in touch — we can usually parse it.
  2. Book a free 30-minute migration call via Calendly. We'll build the mapping with you.
  3. Run a dry import into a sandbox tenant, verify, then flip the switch.
Need help? Email hello@getflok.app with a sample export and we'll respond with a concrete plan within one business day. Migrations under 2,000 members are free of charge.
